Mount the camera as close to seated eye level as possible. When placing the camera on top of the screen, the combination is usually optimal with the lens at ~1400mm (55") from the floor. This usually puts the bottom of the screen at around 800mm (30") from the floor.
Key Hints
Cameras mounted at a high angle is a very common problem for conferencing. Remote participants can be made to feel detached from discussion. It’s better to have everyone looking straight into the camera.
The mounting options allow the Google Meet cameras & all in one units to be set up in a variety of ways to suit any conferencing setup or screen solution. The camera is best mounted central to the screen, so that the room occupants appear to be addressing the remote participants.
Key Hints
All-in-one products such as the Logitech Rally Bar can work well above or below the screens, but remember to consider the lens height in relation to a seated person's eye height.
Micpods are featured in the Series One and Logitech medium and large kits. For best audio quality when using the micpods, ensure users are no farther than 1500mm (60") away from a unit.
Key Hints
Note when using the ASUS speakermic or Logitech Rally micpods, refer to the room planner for more information on recommended quantity.
When using more than one expansion micpod, it's best to space them evenly between all participants. A good general rule is to ensure each micpod is no more than 2000mm (80") apart.
