Using the Series One meeting room kits, only the Meet Compute System requires AC power, other system components are connected using the included, color-coded ethernet cables to reduce clutter, cost, and installation time. An Add-on Audio Bar and additional Mic Pods are daisy chained to make expanding the system as easy as possible. Don't forget that other devices in the room may still need power such as the display screens.
Key Hints
You may also want to consider power to the table for convenience outlets feeding users laptops and devices.
Typical maximum equipment load for dual screen rooms
- 0.5kW / 1705 BTU/h
Key Hints
This estimate does not account for occupancy heat load, and peak heat load may be greater than this for short periods of time.
Don't forget to consider cable routes, especially where they might be visible or cause a trip hazard! most setups using Google Meet Hardware kits will need a cable route considered between the table and the screens. Achieving a concealed route via the wall or a cabinet below the screens will help keep the install neat. If the table doesn't stretch to the wall, then also don't forget a route over, or even better, under the floor.
When using the Series One equipment remember that it benefits from upgrading to CAT5 cabling and PoE from the Meet Compute system for all devices. This is important to consider especially if you are upgrading from an install with USB based devices and cabling.
Key Hints
For the ASUS and Logitech bundles, we recommend using the cables included; however, we realize that doesn't cover all room types so please use the approved cables from the Google Help Center.
